The Artimino estate lies on the rolling hills of Montalbano, at an altitude of approximately 200 metres, in an area renowned for its exceptional suitability for viticulture.
This is where the prestigious DOCG appellations has its root: Carmignano.
The vineyards are planted on an exceptionally diverse mosaic of soils, including Macignos and stone, Sillano formations, sandstone and marine sandy-silty sediments. This extraordinary geological complexity gives the wines remarkable depth, elegance and a distinctive sense of place.
The climate is typically Mediterranean, with warm summers moderated by refreshing hillside breezes and cool nights that create wide day-night temperature variation, preserving freshness, aromatic intensity and natural balance in the grapes.
These conditions allow the grapes to ripen slowlyand evenly, preserving their natural acidity while enhancing elegance and aromatic complexity.

Tenuta di Artimino traces its roots back to a remarka blepast. First an Etruscan settlement, then a medieval village, it later became the beloved hunting retreatof the Medici family.
At the heart of the estate stands Villa Medicea La Ferdinanda, also known as the Villa of the Hundred Chimneys. Today a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a lasting testament to the profound connection between viticulture, art and culture that flourished under the Medici dynasty.
The estate extends across approximately 700 hectares, including70 hectares of vineyards, where winemaking and hospitality come together in perfect harmony.
