Albana di Romagna it’s the Queen grape in this part of Italy; it was also Italy’s first white wine to get DOCG recognition.
Albana is a very suitable grape for clean and dry wines, as well as Champenoise method and dessert wines.
For this Albana “A” the grapes are hand-harvested at the beginning of September in small casks.
Most of the juice is vinified in steel tanks, while a small mass is vinified sur lie in French oak barrels.
The constant presence of sea breeze in the vineyards of Monticino Rosso enriches the flavors of apricots and white peaches typical of this grape, with an elegant minerality that cleans nicely the palate. Thus, the wine keeps a great drinkability while offering an elegant and pleasurable complexity, making it perfect for a GLASS POUR.
This wine is a perfect companion to appetizer, pizza, poultry, seafood, and pasta dishes.
